Your brain is hard-wired to release dopamine and other neurotransmitters when you feminize yourself. These neurotransmitters produce a rush of well-being, pleasure, sexual gratification and self-identity. They affect the reward centers of your brain, so it mimics the addiction response. You can't stop your brain from releasing neurotransmitters so you feel as if you need to cross-dress.
The problem with a transvestic fetishism is that you continually have to go further and further with your cross-dressing in order to keep the neurotransmitters running on high. If you limit your cross-dressing then you will, over time, slowly experience a decrease in the amount of neurotransmitters. That isn't bad.. That's you way out. You can limit your cross-dressing and live a normal, healthy, productive life.
If you don't take control over your transvestic fetish, then it will take control over you.
