Ladies Diamond Engagement
Ladies, which would be more romantic, a diamond ring or a signet ring for a wedding proposal?
(men need not answer, answers from men will not be taken into consideration) Im thinking about asking my girlfriend to marry me and im having a hard time deciding between a diamond engagement ring or the ring that bears my family name and coat of arms. the standard is a diamond ring but im offering her my name so im also leaning toward the signet ring. help!!!
Honestly, like others have said, it depends on your girlfriend.
Personally, I'd want the diamond. That way she'd get to choose what kind of style she wants, making the ring exactly as shes always pictured it..Remember, this is something she's going to wear for the rest of her life..asking her opinion about what it should look like would be nice.
However, if you want to completely surprise her, maybe ask her mom or someone close to her what type of rings they think she would like..or if she's ever mentioned the idea of wearing your family's ring, you know?
I think it's sweet that you're offering her your name..but to me, an engagement ring is the promise of a strong love..a NEW chapter in your lives where you put each other before anything.
